Bonjour readers!

Welcome onboard! I'm pretty excited to start my ultimate experience with you guys. This is my first attempt to start a blog about my life and my dream career. Please correct me if i'm wrong if i have posted anything wrongly or may sound offensive. It is by no means to offend and organisation or any airlines.

To start things off, let me introduce myself first. My name is Jesmine, just Jes for short and i just started commence my training as a flight attendent in AA for bout a week already. Well, before this i was a teacher and i just finished my studies in Early Childhood Education. Everyone must be thinking, why i chose to fly? Theres a number of good reasons for it. The answer is pretty common and i bet most of the interviewers must have heard it million times. "It's my childhood dream job". As for myself, i started off hunting high and low searching and waiting for the interview open day in which ever airlines. I was a naive and innocent 18 year old back then when i finished my SPM. I remembered the first interview i went is SIA. I only had my SPM with me, but i made it till the final only. But i didnt give up back then. To cut the story short, somehow after a couple of months i finally made it to our local airline. Was there for a good 2 years plus. It wasn't that great, but i had a pleasant experience but then i realized that something is bothering me so i left for good and continued my studies which i didnt have the chance to before.

I wanted to try venturing in other fields, but i came to a conclusion that i only wanted to fly. Alot of people had asked me why not other normal office jobs and get regular salary every month? Well, for me it's really typical. A very few people have desire to work mundane jobs that doesn't pay very well and you have to live up to their expectations. It's just like you're directly under one superior or boss. It's just not my cup of tea. It's alot easier said and done, especially for those who have years of education, training, and experience that they just enjoy working a normal day job and want a simple life. I prefer a career that gives me a whole new learning experience in my everyday life. Everyday, is a different story.

Many people stereotyped that this is a 'high class' waitress job. Well, i can tell you one thing. If you are not hardworking and don't have the passion for it, don't waste your time. It ain't easy and every single one of us has a role to play the moment we report for duty. During training, we need to fullfill all the standard procedure for all tests which comes in two parts which is practical and theory required by the DCA (Department of Civil Aviation). It takes a lot of motivation and determination to be a good crew. You also need to have good etiquettes and mannerism to go far and *play safe*. So much said, if your decision to become a flight attendent just go for it. Make it happen. Just be yourself, be humble to all and you'll go far!
